Hugo the Happy Starfish: One Step at a Time – Children’s E-book Review

by Ivy B

Look! The next installment of my Hugo the Happy Starfish book reviews is here!  Today, I’m sharing my thoughts on Hugo the Happy Starfish: One Step at a Time by Suzy Liebermann as she illustrates how to achieve a goal “one step at a time”.

As always, I love these books for the beautiful underwater scenery (and in this case, the beautiful scenery extends to the mountains) and lively, vivid characters.  The characters in the book do a fine job of teaching your children to build character in a fun and easy way to understand.

In this book, Hugo learns that reaching big goals takes patience and perseverance, but the only way to do it is to take things step by step.  Essentially, larger goals should be broken down into smaller goals so that you can see progress, rather than focusing on how long it’s taking to get to the end.

This book will teach your child how to work on their goals while also providing a little geography lesson as Hugo travels to the Matterhorn.

I can confidently recommend this book to help you discuss with your children the importance of taking things one step at a time to meet a goal.  It’s an easy and quick read that delivers a great message.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
