Changes are amazing and expected

by Ivy B

Well, with the growth of my baby, who is now 18 months, we’ve gone through many changes in this household already.  We’re starting to think about potty training and lately, I’m exploring the idea of doing some informal home school preschool for Shelby.
I have a hard time doing “educational” stuff without a rigid plan of action, so I scoured the internet for some free and inexpensive resource options to get me started.  I’m hoping that in the next few weeks I can begin to blog about our adventures with what we’ve found.
I have quite a few plans in addition to the resources I’ve found, and I’m pretty excited.

To start, I’ve spent a good deal of time researching and coming up with an option for laminating. I like it so far – here’s my shape cutting and laminating project

I’ve been cutting shapes by hand and laminating with clear contact paper.  I purchased a smaller roll from Publix just to get me started and so far I’ve been pretty happy with the results.  And, to keep them together,  I am using large target brand storage bags.
I’m currently waiting on another educational medium to be made and I can’t wait to get started on the odds and ends for it as well 🙂

What kind of ways do you educate your tots at home?   Any resources you can recommend?
