Should You Try Medterra CBD Oil?

You say you’ve had some health concerns and you’d like relief? Mama, I hear you. Is Medterra CBD oil right for you?

There are some things I don’t like talking about regarding my health.

I’ve been mildly embarrassed by an enlarged joint on my thumb that aches frequently, occasional aches in my other fingers, brain fog, memory issues, difficulty concentrating, and sleep issues, just to name a few.

As a mom, some of these minor problems are bigger than they seem. It’s scary to ask for high fives with my son for fear he hits that sore thumb. I’m constantly forgetting things, making more work for myself. And, poor sleep quality certainly doesn’t help my mood dealing with two kids at home all day.

When CBD oil started becoming a popular product, I began reading up on the benefits and there were certainly benefits for the growing list of ailments I was noticing.

But, it appeared to be the next “snake oil” and I wasn’t certain I could justify spending money on something that supposedly helped with such a wide range of ailments.

As my thumb joint and other ailments progress, despite how much better I care for myself these days, I begin to accept that I’m willing to try almost anything for some relief.

In truth, what do I have to lose, right?

I say “possible” because the FDA has no current regulations on CBD oil. And, there supposedly haven’t been enough studies on the efficacy of CBD oil for the reported benefits.

I’m typically not in the camp who cares much for FDA regulations. Nor have I ever been one to be concerned with government studies, rather more leery of those over independent studies.

However, as I research the benefits of CBD oil, there seems to be a number of possible ones that I am uncertain of how beneficial it can be. Personally, I prefer taking herbs and supplements that are much more clear on their uses.

According to Medterra, our bodies have an ecocannabinoid system with cannabinoid receptors on cells playing roles in physiological processes such as mood, memory and pain. CBD is supposed to bind to these receptors to carry out a variety of functions to bring ” homeostasis and healthy functioning” to our bodies.

CBD oil has been said to help with pain, reduce anxiety and depression, alleviate cancer symptoms, among others.

Possible Side Effects of CBD Oil

As with most FDA approved drugs, there are a number of possible side effects

According to WebMD, approximately 1 in 5 CBD products contain THC, meaning they have the substance that could get you high.

Medterra claims there is ZERO THC in their products.

Other side effects can include anxiety, nausea, changes in appetite or mood, and drowsiness, among others.

Additionally, there are concerns with interference between CBD oil and prescription medications.

Why Choose Medterra?

Some possible benefits of CBD oil intrigue me, and I’m not one to let lack of FDA regulation scare me from trying something. But, it is important for me to choose a high quality product.

My Journey with Medterra CBD Oil

I added Medterra CBD Oil Tincture (1000mg) to my daily routine, though I waited at least half an hour after taking my thyroid pills to try to reduce any potential interference.

But, taking the dose was an easy addition to my daily vitamins. It’s important, however, to remember to place the tincture under your tongue for about 15 seconds to help get the delivery into your system quicker.

What I was happy to find out is that the oil had little- to no taste. This meant it wasn’t a deterrent to keeping up with the routine.

After about 2 weeks of use, I cannot say I’ve seen any improvements in any of the problems I was specifically hoping for.

My sleep hasn’t improved and my thumb joint still causes me pain.

I haven’t felt the random aches in my other fingers though, now that I think about it.

I DID, however, feel overall mood improvement throughout the day … that is, until I had ill-timed PMS, and then I was a raging you-know-what.

As for side effects? I never felt any sort of high (that would have been interesting with my kids around), so I firmly believe that Medterra is THC free. Additionally, I never noticed any of the possible negative side effects, so that was good news.

As I’ve been told through a friend, benefits of CBD oil vary greatly for each person, depending on what their body needs.

Maybe it’s possible I’m having some hidden benefits that I noticed at this point. Or, do I need to give it more time to work?

I don’t really know, but I’m willing to give it a shot a little while longer to find out!
